Idris Elba is set to go head-to-head with John Cena once again.
Amazon Prime is getting ready to release its newest film starring WWE Champion John Cena and Idris Elba. Both men have worked together before when they teamed up and battled each other in the Suicide Squad film, which also starred Margot Robbie. Now, Elba is getting ready to star in Amazon’s new project, Heads of State, alongside Cena, where the two will look to save the world in a jam-packed comedy full of plenty of action. The film will release on July 2.
While promoting the film and answering questions. The Associated Press had asked Elba if he had any interest in making the jump to the world of professional wrestling in the WWE, and his answer was very clear and simple.
“Yes. Bring it on, baby.”
Cena is set to defend his WWE Championship at SummerSlam against the man he dethroned at WrestleMania 41, the ‘American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes.
