CM Punk: It Warms My Heart To See The Way Liv Morgan Has Broken Out Of Her Shell In The Last Year

CM Punk loves what he sees from his MVP.

Before suffering a shoulder injury, Liv Morgan was one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, and prior to the injury, she was set to have plenty of storylines worked into her schedule where she would have faced off with legends, champions, and more.

Despite the setback, a former WWE Champion by the name of CM Punk believes that Morgan will be back better than ever, and was happy to see her break out of her shell in the last year, where she was his MVP of 2024.

Here is more from Punk’s quotes on an episode of Cold As Balls with Kevin Hart.

“Shoutout to Liv Morgan, who recently got injured. She was on a tear, she was like my MVP for the year. I look at people like Liv Morgan, who probably started right after I left, 2014ish. Just from the time that I’ve been around and being able to see her work, just the way she’s developed in this last year and absolutely broken out of her shell and turned into this little worker. It kind of warms my heart. I missed the first part of her journey but to be here, to see her grow into who she’s become — it’s disappointing she got injured, but it’s part of the process. Nobody gets out alive is what I like to say, when you do this. It’s just part of the job.”

Punk recently suffered a loss to John Cena at Night of Champions after interference from the likes of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and others. Punk is still involved in his heated rivalry with Rollins, a feud that started when Punk made his return to the WWE in 2023.

Morgan is set to be out of action for the next several months.
