Moments ago, TNA Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to break some news regarding the Slammiversary PPV on July 20th.
“The Standard of TNA” Mike Santana has officially been added to the World Title Match at the PPV. Current TNA World Champion Trick Williams will defend his title against both Joe Hendry and Mike Santana.
Last week to kick off the TNA iMPACT! episode, Joe Hendry stated that he still plans to go after the TNA World Title, at which time TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella made his way out and said that Joe still has a contractual rematch that he hasn’t used, so Santino revealed that Joe would challenge Trick Williams at Slammiversary.
Later in the night, Mike Santana defeated AJ Francis in a Street Fight and then declared his intention to go after the TNA World Title. At the time, nothing was made official – until now.
