WWE Closely Monitoring Situation In Saudi Arabia Prior To Night Of Champions
The WWE is making sure nothing stops their trip to Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions.
On June 21, US President Donald Trump gave the green light for the United States to bomb three nuclear sites in Iran, a dangerous situation that has now led to Iran threatening the US with endless consequences which has immediately turned stomachs and forced a lot of talent and workers to not want to travel in the events of something very tragic happening.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reached out to the WWE for a word on if the event will be cancelled and moved elsewhere, and from what he was told, the WWE is closely monitoring the situation in Saudi Arabia. One source told Sapp that the show is a ‘full-steam ahead’ and that ‘Saudi is one of the safest places on earth’
SmackDown and Night of Champions are scheduled to happen as of right now. The WWE has been sending out their talent on small planes since there are not a lot that are needed due to the PPV only having ten stars on the show.
Multiple ballistic attacks were sent out by Iran following the attack, as Iran would strike Tel Aviv, Haifa, and certain areas in Jerusalem. We will keep you updated on any news we hear about Night of Champions still happening in Saudi Arabia.
