Vince McMahon Came Close to Purchasing Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship

It does not look like Vince McMahon has the lost the itch to be a promoter as it has been reported that the former boss of the WWE was close to purchasing a controlling interest in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

According to Justin Barrasso, not just was McMahon interested but the founder of the WWE was very serious about doing some business.

“David Feldman, BKFC’s founder and president, confirmed that a meeting occurred–and that McMahon is resolute about a return to promoting: “He’s a great guy, his whole team is great, but the timing wasn’t right for us,” “He’s Vince McMahon–if I were him, I’d want creative control, too. He was awesome, very complimentary, and he was very serious to do business.”

Since McMahon forcible departure from the WWE, rumors have swirled of him starting a new wrestling promotion but this is the first time he has been is business to purchase another company. McMahon had been rumored to be starting a wrestling promotion in Los Angeles but those rumors have died down.

McMahon stepped down as CEO of the WWE in June of 2022 after the board began investigating hush money settlements but McMahon still had creative control of the shows. Then one month later, McMahon announced his retirement. Six months later, McMahon made a forcible return back to the company as it pertains to creative control. Then in January of 2024, McMahon was accused of sexual assault by Janel Grant which led to him resigning once again. The Janel Grant lawsuit is still not over as of now.
