Ariane Lipski is gone from the UFC.
UFC Releases Ariane Lipski da Silva
Ariane Lipski da Silva has been released from the UFC following her loss at UFC 316 to Wang Cong. During that fight week, Ariane missed weight by 6 pounds, but Cong traveled to fight and accepted the fight still, despite the weight advantage for Lipski.
Following the fight, it was revealed that Ariane Lipski had a benign pituitary gland tumour which caused the drastic weight miss. Cong got the win via unanimous decision and following that fight, UFC has let Ariane go from her contract. She reacted after the release.
2019/2025 Thank you @ufc First of all, I want to thank my Lord who has always carried me and given me way more than I ever imagined or deserved! June 7th was my last fight in the UFC. It wasn’t the result I worked so hard for, but I walk away with my head held high knowing I gave everything I had-during camp and inside that cage. Out of my 12 years as a professional athlete, 6 of them were inside the UFC. I came in with the dream of becoming a champion. I believed in it and gave it everything I had, but God had different plans for me. I embraced every opportunity, tested myself against the best in the world, and became the 12th best in the world. Some battles I won, others I learned from-but I grew through every single one. My heart is full of gratitude when I look back at everything the UFC gave me. Thank you @danawhite, @mickmaynard2, and @ufc for all these years. And thank you to the fans who always believed in me you’re the best!
Lipski leaves with a 17-11 record.
