Shotzi vs. Cardona
Matt Cardona is the self proclaimed indie god and has been internet champion since his “Z! True Ling Island Story” video series from his WWE days. Now, there’s someone coming for his throne and that’s Shotzi Blackheart. Shotzi and Matt have been going back and forth on social media since Shotzi left WWE, as she claims she is the new Indie God, and now claims herself as The Independent Champion in a new video.
Shotzi took to Youtube and Instagram to release a parody of Cardona’s old video series, but called hers “ShotZ! True Indy God Story”. In the video, Shotzi had the same music Cardona used to use, and even the same segments, naming Cardona the “Broski Of The Week” since he’s always tweeting about her. Shotzi even had a custom “Independent championship” title, and autographed an 8×10 for Matt, which she says she will give to him when they face off in a match at GCW’s Boss Of All Bosses on July 11.
The near three minute video is pretty comical, and you can check it out here or below. Matt Cardona did comment on the video, saying “Joke’s on you… I don’t own Z! True Long Island Story… WWE does. Now they’re gonna sue you too!!!”. This comes after Cardona said he will sue Shotzi for gimmick infringement.
Well, on July 11, we see who really is the god of independent wrestling!
