Tom Aspinall’s Return
Tom Apspinall is currently the interim heavyweight champion. He’s been calling for a fight with the reigning heavyweight champion? Jon Jones, but Jones doesn’t seem too interested. Rumors have swirled about what could be next for Tom, and he may have just added fuel to that fire.
Today, Tom Aspinall was interviewed by Daniel Cormier and Chael Sonnen on the Good Guy, Bad Guy Podcast, where of course they tried to pry some fight news out of Tom.
You guys are going to see. You guys are going to see really soon. This is an exciting time for the heavyweight division, man, we’ve got some movement! People are literally forgetting that Heavyweight’s exist. Nobodies fought for so long, this is crazy! Like, you’ve got a guy holding it up. That’s old news. That’s old news. The active heavyweight champion is here to fight them all. Let’s get it on.
Chael previously “reported” that Tom vs Jon Jones was set and Daniel Cormier later asked if he saw Chael Sonnen say that there was a date and location for Tom’s next fight. Tom then had a surprising response
“Well, I’ll tell you something… I’ve got the date and location. I’ve got a date and location.”
This immediately has fans in a frenzy as to who could be next. Is it Jones? Is Tom going to fight someone else? Will Jones relinquish the Heavyweight title? We now have more questions than answers!
