For the first time in WWE history, it looks like WrestleMania will be hosted in the same place for two consecutive years as it seems WrestleMania 42 will take place in Las Vegas.
According to NOLA News, the grandest stage of them all is heading back to Las Vegas. Other wrestling insiders with connections to WWE had intimated the same thing.
“After the success of this year’s event, the new leadership running WWE decided that they would rather hold next year’s event in Las Vegas and see what response they get from fans, according to an industry official who wasn’t authorized to be quoted by name.”
It was announced by “The Rock” in February that WrestleMania would be heading to New Orleans in 2026 at the Caesars Superdome. It would have been the third WrestleMania held in New Orleans in the last 12 years.
But WWE decided to pull out of the deal for New Orleans for this upcoming WrestleMania. New Orleans will now host Money in the Bank in 2026 and at some point in the near future still get a WrestleMania.
This has frustrated many people in the industry as most people who book shows and signings usually book venues a year in advance so this throws a wrench into those plans.
It has also been reported by multiple outlets that the original date for WrestleMania 42 of April 11th and 12th could also change due to the location change.
Many fans complained about WrestleMania 41 due to the skyrocket prices it was to attend the WWE shows over the four days. It will be interesting what WWE changes from this past year’s WrestleMania because it is now unseen territory running the same location and stadium for consecutive years for WWE’s biggest show of the year.
