In a shocking turn of events, WrestleMania 42 which was supposed to be in New Orleans in 2026 will no longer be taking place there.
According to Wrestlenomics, a statement from the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation explained that WrestleMania has been rescheduled for an unspecified year and now Money in the Bank will take place in New Orleans in 2026.
“The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long- standing parternship. These events will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money in the Bank in 2026 and Wrestlemania– which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.”
Back in February of this year, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson came out on Smackdown in New Orleans to announce that WrestleMania 42 would be at the Caesars Superdome on Saturday April 11th and Sunday April 12th of 2026.
The foundation who made this statement said that this was a joint message from them and the WWE. But the WWE have yet to respond to requests to confirm their agreement on the statement or to provide any other comments on the matter.
This would have been the third time in 12 years that WrestleMania would be in the Caesars Superdome after WrestleMania 30 in 2014 and WrestleMania 34 in 2018.
No one as of now has confirmed what the location of WrestleMania 42 will be in 2026.
