Former MLW Women’s Featherweight Champion Janai Kai looks to be on her way out of Major League Wrestling.
According to Fighful Select, Kai’s contract is expiring quite soon which explains why she is posting multiple tweets saying that she is leaving the company and is a free agent.
Kai spent three years in MLW which included winning the Women’s Featherweight Title at MLW Slaughterhouse back in October of 2023 over Delmi Exo. Kai held the title for 455 days before losing it to Exo at Kings of the Colosseum in January of this year.
Kai has also wrestled for companies like Game Changer Wrestling and Tokyo Joshi Pro.
“We’re told there will be more MLW departures in the coming weeks.”
MLW has been linked to Shotzi since her exit from WWE so based on the reports from Fightful, it seems major changes are taking place on the roster for MLW heading into the summer.
