Islam Makhachev Drops UFC Lightweight Title, Vacant Title Bout To Headline UFC 317, Plus More
UFC 317 has finally been announced!
International Fight Week
UFC 317 is international fight week this year, falling on the June 28th weekend. The week will not only see the UFC 317 event, but the UFC 2025 Hall Of Fame, fan experiences and much more. Usually, we would’ve started hearing fight announcements for this card last month, but they were announced today and we now know why.
UFC waited to see who would win the UFC 315 main event between Jack Della Maddalena and Belal Muhammad. Now that Jack won, Islam will be moving up a weight class to challenge him, thus vacating the lightweight gold. Dana White then went on instagram live to reveal that the main event of UFC 317 will be Ilia Topuria vs. Charles Oliveira for the lightweight championship!
Plus, Alexandre Pantoja will defend his Flyweight title in the co-main event against Kai Kara-France. You can see the announced card (so far) below!
