GCW Owner Brett Lauderdale Responds To False Accusations On Giving Sabu Drugs And Contributing To His Death

Sabu’s Final Match
Sabu wrestled his final match at Joey Janela’s Spring Break during WrestleMania 41 weekend. He took on Janela in a wild matchup. Following the match, Joey Janela did an interview revealing that Sabu needed to use Kratom to get through the match.
Fans immediately hopped onto a trend that GCW “forced” Sabu to use the substance and made him wrestle. GCW owner, Brett Lauderdale, has now released a statement to put those rumors to rest, saying that he did not give Sabu substances and if Sabu really could not wrestle, he wouldn’t have had him wrestle, which he’s done to other wrestlers in the past.
Anyone blaming GCW/Janela for the death of Sabu is just silly and ignorant. Rest in peace to the legend, Sabu.
