Pro Wrestling Legend Sabu Passes Away At 60

Rest In Peace, Sabu.

Sabu Passes Away At 60

Best known for his time in Extreme Championship Wrestling, Sabu has wrestled everywhere you could think of. As the nephew of WWE Hall Of Famer, The Sheik, Sabu got his start in wrestling in 1985. Quickly, he found himself over in Japan, wrestling for FMW and even had some dark matches for WWF.

But, in 1993, Sabu joined ECW and that’s where things started to take off. Sabu quickly became a major player in ECW. Eventually, Sabu became the Homicidal, Suicidal, Genocidal maniac we all know and love and his insane high-flying and hardcore style made him a fan-favorite in the promotion.

Sabu ended up working with NJPW, WCW, Big Japan, All Japan, the independent circuit, TNA, WWE and even had a brief appearance in AEW in 2023 as apart of Adam Cole’s corner against Chris Jericho at Double or Nothing.

Sabu ended his career on April 18, 2025 when he wrestled his final match against Joey Janela for GCW during WrestleMania weekend as the two headlined Joey Janela’s Spring Break. Sabu gave his all in his final match and put on a performance that’ll be talked about for ages. Weeks later, Sabu has sadly passed away.

We send our condolences to the fans, friends and family members of Sabu.
