Josh Alexander became a free agent in mid-February, and is now officially “All Elite” after debuting on the 4/16 episode of AEW Dynamite as Hangman Adam Page’s mystery opponent.
Josh has been under the wing of Don Callis as he’s being recruited to join the Don Callis family.
AEW star Josh Alexander recently spoke with Justin Dhillon of Conversations with the Classic.
He shared that TNA never tried to re-sign him when he became a free agent in February.“I mean, I had the meeting with TNA a year before, and then they picked up my option. I’m like, ‘OK guys, I’m going to — I’d be doing my family a disservice by not seeing what else is out there from a financial aspect, opportunity perspective. So you guys come to the table with an offer and I’ll definitely [consider it]. I love this place, I love the locker room.’ And part of me is like, I don’t want to leave. But it doesn’t make sense to stay if it isn’t in the same ballpark. They never made me an offer. Ever.”
“They just took that [as I’m] leaving. I’m like ‘Ok…’ even though we had conversations several times, where I said, ‘Just make me an offer, guys.’ And they just never did.”

Josh is a former two-time IMPACT/TNA World Champion, as well as the longest reigning World Champion in company history.
Many fans assumed Josh would be leaving TNA, but felt the company should make every effort to keep him there. It’s very disappointing that – according to Josh – the company didn’t even try to retain him under contract.
Josh won the inaugural Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Canadian Title last night at their Northern Rising event when he overcame 19 other competitors and came out victorious.
