WWE Releases Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, Braun Strowman, Cora Jade, Kayden Carter And Katana Chance

WWE has released five talent.

It was revealed tonight and confirmed by multiple outlets that WWE has released five superstars from their roster. Braun Strowman was released from WWE after returning in 2022 from a previous release. Braun is a former WWE Universal Champion amongst other accolades.

Shayna Baszler was also released from the company. She’s had a tenured run with WWE after debuting on the NXT brand in 2017. She was a former 2 time NXT champion and 3 time Women’s Tag Team champion.

Dakota Kai has been released from the company, too. Dakota returned from a previous release at SummerSlam 2022 when she was revealed as a member of the Damage CTRL faction. She remained in that faction until her release today. Dakota is a former Women’s Tag Team Champion and challenged for the Women’s intercontinental championship earlier this year. This week, Dakota made mention that she was sidelined by WWE but not injured and she missed wrestling.

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter have also been released. The duo are former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and NXT Tag Team Champions. Katana made her debut in 2017 in NXT. Kayden Carter made her debut in 2018 in NXT. Both competed in the Mae Young Classic.

Cora Jade has also been released, PWInsider has confirmed. Cora tweeted twice that led to speculation that she is also gone, saying she has a lot of “free time” on her hands, and then followed it up with being thankful that she got to live out a childhood dream. Cora is a former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.
