The City of Brotherly Love will become the home for All Elite Wrestling not just for a particular Dynamite or Pay Per View Event, the city will host 7 AEW/Ring of Honor Shows over the course of three weeks.
From August 27th- September 11th, the former ECW Arena which is named the 2300 arena, will be host to three AEW Dynamite’s, 3 AEW Collisions and ROH Death Before Dishonor which will be ROH’s second pay per view of 2025.
This will be the first time that the 2300 Arena will host AEW. In the six years of the company, every time that AEW came to Philadelphia, they ran the Liacouras Center which is on the campus of Temple University in North Philadelphia. AEW has done multiple Dynamite’s and Collision’s in the city so far. That included being in Philly for AEW’s last pay per view which was Dynasty.
Normally, AEW will come into a town for one night to tape Dynamite or Collision or even both on the same night. It makes this idea a brand new idea to pro wrestling as AEW is filming three weeks of television.
AEW has taken big swings already in 2025 as they have moved to smaller venues in order to have a more packed crowd instead of running huge arenas which made crowds in 2024 seem not as loud or full. The 2300 holds up to 1,300 people so it will be interesting if this is a strategy that AEW and maybe other wrestling companies will use in for foreseeable future.
