Moments ago, TNA Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to reveal that “The Youngest In Charge” Leon Slater will be in action this Thursday for the LIVE iMPACT show, and will take on FIR$T CLA$$ member KC Navarro – who of course will have AJ Francis in his corner.
Leon and KC both fought in the Ultimate X match at the TNA Rebellion PPV this past Sunday night for the X Division Title; unfortunately, neither was successful in their quest. They’ll both try to work their way back to a title shot starting with this match on Thursday. A clip of Leon Slater hitting the rest of the competitors with a 450 Swanton Bomb off the top of one of the light post structures went viral on ESPN SportsCenter today.
Both men came very close to winning the match – at one point, KC’s friend and FIR$T CLA$$ partner AJ Francis came out and hit Vikingo with a Down Payment after Vikingo tried to come at him from the top rope. AJ then helped KC up and using the ropes stand on his shoulder while he walked toward the center of the ring where the title belt was hanging down. Moose Speared AJ before KC could grab the belt and come down with it.
At another point, Leon Slater scaled the ropes and grabbed the title belt, but was Speared by Moose before he could actually come down to the canvas with the belt.
Will Leon be able to overcome KC Navarro (and by default AJ Francis), or will the numbers game prove too much for Leon? For a guy who’s been battling some form of The System for months, Leon is used to outside interference.
We’ll have to tune in to see who wins.
