Updated TNA Rebellion PPV Card – New Matches + Stipulation, KC Navarro Added To Ultimate X Match
-Falls Count Anywhere added to Mustafa Ali vs Mike Santana
After Mustafa Ali kept running from avoiding Santana during their match – and previously ran away through the crowd a few weeks ago – Mike Santana approached Santino backstage and told him – demanded – that Santino make his match against Ali at Rebellion a Falls Count Anywhere match so that he can’t run away. Santino agreed.
The match stipulation was made official.
International Title Match
-Steve Maclin (c) vs Eric Young
During the Main Event to Unbreakable last night, Steve Maclin defeated both AJ Francis and Eric Young to become the first-ever inaugural TNA International Champion.
Eric Young was on the outside of the ring and Steve Maclin reversed a Down Payment in mid air and turned it into a KIA on Francis, immediately following that up with a second KIA and pinning Francis for the victory.
Tom Hannifan mentioned on commentary last week – and then reiterated tonight after the match – that whichever of the competitors did not get pinned in the match for the International Title would be given a shot at Rebellion, which would mean that Eric Young will get a one-on-one match for the title at Rebellion.
-Elijah open challenge
Elijah came out and sang a son, and then announced the “Walk With Elijah” open challenge for Rebellion. “Anybody from any company or any country.”
The match is officially added to Rebellion.
Knockouts Tag TeamTitles
-Ash & Heather By Elegance (c) (w/Personal Concierge) vs. Spitfire (Jody Threat & Dani Luna) vs. NXT Meta Girls (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) vs. NXT stars Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley
Backstage after their loss, Heather By Elegance was with Personal Concierge and they both started freaking out about Ash seeing the loss. Gigi and Tatum walked up and said they should get a title shot since they won. Spitfire walked up and said they have their rematch clause still. Jakara and Lash Legend walked up and say they want a shot too. Heather got flustered at everybody yelling at her and said they can all have a shot. Personal Concierge started freaking out even more and asked Heather what she’s done.
The match was made official moments later.
-KC Navarro added to Ultimate X match at Rebellion
During last nights TNA iMPACT broadcast, Cody Deaner was talking with Director of Authority Santino Marella about his contract, Deaner stated how he came so close to beating Moose for the X Division Title last week. Santino says he’ll give Cody an opportunity to get into the Ultimate X match at Rebellion with a match against KC Navarro later in the night.
KC used the chain/necklace that he had around his neck and wrapped it around his hand. Cody lifted him up and in mid air – out of the referees view – Navarro hit Cody with it and then fell on top of him the victory.
Navarro comments on the victory, saying that he’s going to win the X Division title at Rebellion and change the name from the X division to the “Blessed” division.
Officially added to Ultimate X match.
