The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal has been a constant for this time a year since WrestleMania 30. But, instead of being on WrestleMania, it’s been on the go-home SmackDown for the last few years.
This year is no different, as SmackDown’s first match of the night saw 20 plus men battle it out for that Andre trophy. The likes of Rey Fenix, Miz, Creed Brothers, Chad Gable, Otis, Tozawa, A-Town Down Under, Legado Del Fantasma, R-Truth, Carlito and many more were in this match.
The final four came down to Shinsuke Nakamura, Rey Fenix, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes. Shinsuke was eliminated by Andrade, then, Rey Fenix was eliminated by El Grande Americano who made his presence known and pulled Fenix out of the ring.
In the end, it was Carmelo Hayes throwing out Andrade and we have a new Andre The Giant Memorial winner. This comes after Miz sacrificed himself for Melo earlier on in the match.
