Topps Reveals WWE Debut And WrestleMania Patches That’ll Be Inserted Into Cards
Topps is bringing debut patches to WWE.
1/1 Card Patches
The trading card hobby is on fire right now and that includes WWE cards. With WWE’s latest Topps Chrome release, the trading card set has been selling out everywhere and they’re hard to come by. Now, Topps will be making a new set with cards that are even more lucrative.
Topps Baseball kicked things off with the use of ‘debut patches.’ Players will have a debut patch sewn onto their jerseys to wear when they make their MLB debut, then that patch will be taken off and put into a 1/1 card for fans to find. Today, Topps revealed WWE will be doing the same.
First, they announced that superstars who make their debut on RAW or SmackDown will have a debut patch for that brand sewn onto their gear, then after their match, it’ll be taken off and inserted into the card. They also revealed that select superstars will have a WrestleMania patch on their gear for this weekend and that will also be taken off and inserted into a 1/1 card for an upcoming set that has yet to be announced.
Topps used CM Punk as an example for the WrestleMania patch, but every star on the card will have a patch, with mist of them being on their boot. We will update on you which new set the patches will be in when it’s announced!
