The United States Champion isn’t on ‘Mania.
Chelsea Green Update
Chelsea Green is the current WWE Women’s United States Champion, but she does not currently have a match, segment or appearance scheduled for WrestleMania 41 this weekend. This past Friday, Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea in a non-title match and fans hoped that maybe a title match between the two could be added to WrestleMania, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Fightful Select reported that as of right now, Chelsea is not scheduled.
Your United States Champion is not currently planned for WrestleMania.
As the WWE WrestleMania cards were announced for Friday and Saturday, there were some notable omissions when the cards came together. Among them was the WWE Women’s United States Title, and champion Chelsea Green.
Fightful inquired with WWE sources regarding creative plans for the title or Green for Mania, and were told that as of late last week, she was not scheduled for the show. We’re told there had been a couple of pitches for her to host the show, but as of this past weekend, there was nothing there. When we asked sources near creative, we were told that once the show is formatted out, it’s possible that a skit or segment to be added. However, as of each of the last two times we’d asked, that wasn’t the case.
While Chelsea Green could always be scheduled last minute, she is booked for a match on SmackDown the Friday before WrestleMania 41. Chelsea and her Secret Hervice will take on Zelina Vega, Kayden Karter and Katana Chance in six-woman tag team action.
