Julius Creed Talks Possibly Transitioning To UFC, Would Compete At Heavyweight

WrestleMania 41 is next weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada and to promote the show, WWE superstar Julius Creed was on today’s UFC 314 Weigh-In show as a guest. During this, he was asked a few questions by the hosts about possibly joining the UFC, when he revealed that Daniel Cormier was actually the catalyst to him joining WWE.

I lived with D.C. in 2017 and 2018 in the summers and I had an option to be able to do both and I asked him, you know, what would you do if you were in my shoes? He said “well, what do you want to do?” I said, “I want to do both!” And he said “well, I think that if you go to the WWE and you make a name for yourself and you get to the big show there, it will be an easier time to transition over than if you work the regional scene and come up through the UFC and then transition the other way over.” So, I, for better or worse, took this guys advice and it’s put me where I’m at today, so.

When asked by Dan Hellie if he would make that transition over from WWE, Julius said;

Yeah, why not both at the same time, Dan?

Daniel Cormier then revealed that he thought having Julius Creed be apart of his Ultimate Fighter coaching staff would help Julius be around fighters, around the UFC P.I. and get a good feel of being around the UFC. Daniel feels like Julius worked tirelessly to at least give himself an opportunity.

Julius also backed himself as a man being able to successfully transition over to UFC from WWE and revealed that if he did, he would be in the heavyweight division.
