TNA Gets Rid Of Title, Announces A New One, Reveals A Tournament To Crown The New Champion At LIVE Unbreakable PLE On 4/17
Ahead of tonight’s TNA iMPACT episode, the company announced that Mance Warner and SDL would have something to say after the events that unfolded last week.
They also hyped a special announcement from Santino Marella.
-SDL & Mance Warner make their way out to the ring with the TNA Digital Media Title. SDL said they’re out to celebrate the greatest Digital Media reign of all time. She claims they run TNA and will be running the whole world. Mance said there’s nobody tougher or prettier than them.
Santino Marella interrupts. He said they can’t inherit a title, and asks what’s wrong with their brains. He said he’s taking away the Digital Media Title, but he’s holding a tournament at Unbreakable to crown a new TNA International Champion, and as a tribute to the 2005 Unbreakable PPV 3 way match between Aj Styles, Samoa Joe, and Christopher Daniels, every match at the PPV will be a three way match. Santino demands they give him the title back. Sami Callihan comes out and attacks Mance with a baseball bat and then throws him off the stage and onto a table.
We went backstage as Santino picked out the first participants – Eddie Edwards will take on Ace Austin and Steve Maclin.
