Former WWE Champion Daria Berenato (aka Sonya DeVille) Set To Appear At Invicta FC 61 This Friday
A few days ago, TNA X Division champion Moose took to his social media Twitter account to break the news that he will be appearing at the Invicta FC 61 event on Friday night in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Now, it seems another big name will be at the event.
“PWInsider.com has learned that Daria Berenato, aka former WWE star Sonya Deville, will be at Invicta 61 this Friday Friday night at the Grand Hotel & Casino in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Invicta has already confirmed that TNA X-Division Champion Moose also will be attending the seven-fight card as well.
Berenato held a 2-1 MMA fight record prior to her WWE run.”
Daria (formerly Sonya DeVille in WWE) recently had her contract expire with the company. Daria is a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Chelsea Green.
While it is unknown what the reason is for Daria’s appearance, Daria had a Twitter exchange with Invicta commentator Megan Anderson, who invited her to the Invicta show this week.
It appears the invitation was accepted. We’ll have to tune in on Friday night to see what affect, If any, Daria has on the show.
Watch INVICTA 61 this Friday night on CBS SportsNet, the show airs at 8pm Eastern/7pm Central time.
