Shawn Spears vs. Ricky Saints
The main event of tonight’s WWE NXT featured Shawn Spears defending his WWE NXT North American Championship against Ricky Saints. Ricky, despite only having a few matches with NXT, has been undefeated and got a crack at the title.
But, it wasn’t easy as Shawn Spears had his ‘Culling’ teammates around ringside and Ricky not only had to beat Spears, but outsmart the outside interferences as well. At one point, Ricky was hit over the head with the championship while the referee was distracted, but he survived.
Ricky eventually nailed his Rochambeau on Spears and became the new WWE NXT North American Champion. But, the celebration didn’t last long as he was attacked from behind by Ethan Page. Ethan raised the title up and stood over Ricky to end NXT.
Congratulations, Ricky Saints.
