BKFC has a new striker.
Jessica Eye To BKFC
Jessica Eye has been pretty inactive since 2022. The former UFC star went on a four fight losing streak, all by decision, from 2020-2022 before parting ways with the company and taking some time off. She noted that she had been dealing with a parasite inside of her that was causing her to be ill.
Now, the 15-11 MMA fighter announced today on the Ariel Helwani Show that she is back to competition now that she’s healthy and will fight under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) banner.
I’m super excited, after a long time of negotiation, I am signing with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship! […] First of all, I think that we often contest to my fight style, right? I started out boxing. Stipe and I both did, right? We both came from strong style, we both started our career with boxing first. Our coaches has us do boxing matches and I think that showed throughout our whole career, right? We had solid striking abilities. So, after I retired and spent some time working on my mental health, working on my physical body, I was just like “I know I’m not done.” And the fact that Jake Paul, and just the way boxing has been going, watching bare knuckle, just, take a completely new lane, why not?
She then noted that BKFC’s women’s division needs some good strikers and they need some good mma girls to go over and show them how tough they are.
She announced as well that her first fight will be May 10 in Salt Lake City, Utah. As of now, she does not have an opponent and she’s looking for anyone who’s willing to step up at 125lbs. As of now, she’s just signed a one fight deal, but more could come.
