Tom Aspinall is back?
Interim Heavyweight Champion
Tom Aspinall is the current interim UFC Heavyweight Champion. He’s been calling to fight Jon Jones, the current UFC Heavyweight Champion, for months now to finally merge the titles into one undisputed piece of gold. But, that fight seems to have some issues attached.
Jon doesn’t seem to keen on the bout, unless he’s getting paid an outrageous amount of money, and Tom Aspinall, though has been calling Jones’ name, is tired of waiting. Tom said on record last week that he just wants to fight, so he’s happy to just fight someone else. Dana White on the other hand, said yesterday in an interview with TNT Sports that the fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall is just a matter of time.
Now, Tom Aspinall has taken to Instagram this morning to post a photo with UFC Head and Matchmaker Hunter Campbell with the caption “Stay tuned 👀🤝.” Could this mean the Jones fight is coming?!
