Tom and Jon in WWE?!

WWE and UFC are under the same umbrella of the TKO company. We’ve seen a small bit of crossover between the two brands, like cross promoting each others events and stars from each side at each others shows just as guests to watch. Last year, on WWE’s tour in England, Tom Aspinall made a surprise appearance at a live event and spoke in the ring with Cody Rhodes.
Now, big Tommy wants to step into the ring as a competitor and has an idea. During an interview with The Schmo, Tom Aspinall says that WWE is his retirement plan, notes that Cody Rhodes is his guy and mentions that he he wants a big time tag team match with Cody, Cena and UFC rival Jon Jones.
That’s my retirement plan, me and Cody. Cody Rhodes is my guy, Cody Rhodes is my, yeah, he’s my guy. So, yeah, me and Cody, we’ll have a match one day. I think we might team up! I mean, Cody Rhodes is a, cause we’re both babyfaces, aren’t we? Me and Cody, and maybe we could fight like, Jon Jones and whoever the heel is over there. And, who’s the heel? The main heel? Well, John Cena has turned heel, yeah, so, Cody Rhodes Tom Aspinall tag team versus Jon Jones and John Cena. Babyfaces versus heels. Big matchup.
Tom Aspinall’s size and speed would make a good WWE Superstar and with the promo skills and athletics of Jon Jones, we may be in for an all-timer tag team match! Cody Rhodes has stated he will be rooting for Tom in a fight with Jones.
Elsewhere in the interview, Aspinall says he does like the prospect of John Cena as a heel.
