Fenix is in WWE.
Rey Fenix Update
Rey Fenix is officially a member of the WWE roster, as first reported by Fightful Select Espanol. Last week, a vignette ran on SmackDown that showed a mysterious figure that seemed to be Rey Fenix without saying his name, and it was.
Fenix left AEW late last month and will now join his brother in the WWE. Though PENTA is on WWE RAW, the plan is to debut Rey Fenix on SmackDown!
Rey Fenix is officially signed, Fightful Select Espanol has confirmed.
It was pretty much a foregone conclusion after vignettes aired on last week’s Smackdown hinting at him, but Fightful Select has confirmed that Fenix has officially signed with the company. The plan as of now is to debut him on the Smackdown brand, though we haven’t heard when.
Fenix was getting his medicals done in recent weeks. Fenix procured his release from AEW recently, and we’re told that he isn’t expected to speak heavily on his falling out there, same as Penta. The two were in contact with WWE last year, leading to their relationships with AEW souring.
Rey Fenix is a former AEW Tag Team, TNT and International Champion. Congratulations to Rey Fenix on the new signing and good luck!
