Charles Oliveira Believes Michael Chandler Will Struggle In A Third Round Against Paddy Pimblett

Charles has some thoughts.

UFC 314

Next month, Michael Chandler will battle against Paddy Pimblett at UFC 314 on April 12. While Chandler is coming off a loss to Charles Oliveira in November, Paddy has yet to lose in the UFC. While Paddy may be the younger, fresher fighter, Michael Chandler has the explosiveness and veteran-ship to pull out a win.

Recently, Michael’s former opponent Charles Oliveira sat down with to speak with Oddspedia about the upcoming fight and while he complimented both, he notes that he thinks Chandler could win in the early going, but if it goes to round three, the advantage is on Paddy’s side.

Michael Chandler is a very aggressive and explosive guy. I have nothing but respect for him, he has power in his hands. On the other side, you have a younger guy that believes in himself, moves very well and has really good jiu-jitsu and also a good stand-up game. He moves well, but experience counts for a lot. In the first two rounds, Chandler has a chance to knock him out because of how explosive he is, but if the fight goes into the third round, I believe it’s going to be hard for Chandler because Paddy is younger and he’s very talented.

Astute observation from Charles. Will his predictions become a reality? We’ll see April 12th in Miami, Florida!
