LA Knight wins, again.
United States Championship
LA Knight was originally scheduled to face Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States Title tonight. But, unknowingly, that was canceled and instead, we got a one night tournament to crowd a number one contender.
In the opening rounds, LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar, Jacob Fatu defeated Andrade and Carmelo Hayes defeated Braun Strowman. Then, a triple threat match took place putting LA Knight, Jacob Fatu and Carmelo Hayes against each other in the tournament finals.
After a hard fought battle and many close calls, LA Knight ended up stealing the win by tossing Jacob out of the ring and quickly pinning Carmelo Hayes. LA Knight went from top contender to top contender, again. He will now (maybe?) take on Shinsuke Nakamura for the title at some point.
