Solo Sikoa’s Return Brings More Uncertainty For Road To Wrestlemania 41
For the first time since January 31st’s edition of Smackdown, Solo Sikoa returned to television and spiked Cody Rhodes in front of an electric crowd at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
The shock factor from Friday night was more center-focused on where WWE is taking us on this year’s road to Wrestlemania 41, however.
The history between Sikoa and Rhodes is well-documented and dates back to Wrestlemania 39 when Sikoa cost the American Nightmare the opportunity to finish the story against Roman Reigns. For almost two years, Sikoa had many grueling battles against one of the best professional wrestlers in the world. After leaving Smackdown with his head down and a chorus of boos for losing the Ula Fala to Reigns on Monday Night RAW’s Netflix debut, Sikoa is back and seems to be far from finished with Rhodes and the Undisputed WWE Championship.
So, the question on everybody’s mind is where does this storyline go from here? Could we get Sikoa vs Rhodes at Elimination Chamber on Saturday, March 1? Or, could this be the beginning of something even larger for this year’s Wrestlemania in Las Vegas, Nevada?
Let’s start with the more obvious choice in the matter, that is this could merely be a way to incorporate Rhodes at Elimination Chamber, while also allowing Jey Uso or the winner of the chamber match to challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Mania following Sikoa’s contest against Rhodes.
These two could put on a clinic in front of a crowd that we all know will be geared up and ready for an exciting night of wrestling in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. At the same time, we could be witnessing the beginning of a feud between Jacob Fatu and Sikoa for a potential banger match in Vegas.
Who knows? We could see this leading to the return of The Final Boss. Dwayne could involve himself into this storyline, mostly as a far-fetched idea if his movie schedule (or whatever is currently going on) does not halt him from participating.
Come to think of it, Fatu did say that his family needed that Undisputed WWE Championship back. If not Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Fatu, Sikoa, or even Reigns for that matter, then who? Well, I think we all know who… but only time will tell what direction Paul Levesque is taking the WWE universe on as Wrestlemania 41 inches closer.
