After gracing the WWE universe with his presence by making his Royal Rumble debut last Saturday night, TNA World Champion Joe Hendry is scheduled to kick off TNA on Thursday, Feb. 6 live from San Antonio, Texas, with a championship concert.
You might as well have strapped a jetpack to Hendry’s back in the last month, as the Scottish superstar has garnered national attention for his popularity and in-ring ability, specifically in TNA.
Hendry reached the pinnacle of his career to that point at TNA’s Genesis PLE on Saturday, Jan. 19 when he defeated former champion Nic Nemeth and solidified himself as the face of the company, much to the approval of a rowdy crowd at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.
If he could not get any higher on the radar of wrestling fans across the world, he broke the scale when he came out at No. 15 in this year’s Rumble and shared the ring with WWE’s biggest stars like Roman Reigns, Sheamus and Jacob Fatu among others. Before being tossed over the top rope, much to the disappointment of those in Indianapolis, Indiana, who wanted him to last a bit longer in the 2025 Royal Rumble, Hendry hit The Miz with a fallway slam, kip-up combo before whipping his head around in true Joe Hendry fashion to display his charisma for the world to see and capping it off with the ‘Standing Ovation’ finisher on the most must-see superstar in wrestling.
Now, it is time for Hendry to use this momentum to carry TNA into the next year as champion, as he shows his talent in the ring, on the mic and as a singer. It all starts at 8 p.m. EST on AXS TV in the United States, Sportsnet 360 in Canada and TNA+ worldwide.
