Alexa Bliss Returns
WWE’s Royal Rumble was a show for the ages and in the actual Rumble matches, we saw some returns, including Alexa Bliss, who made a shock return in the Women’s Royal Rumble. The crowd was excited and everyone was on their feet.
In the weeks leading up to the return, there were conflicting reports about if she was or was not returning. Well, she sure did. Here at Bodyslam, we had details on when she signed the contract, and Fightful Select has some details on a new contract that she’s signed, revealing that it is for five more years.

Bliss had missed the last two years while out on maternity leave, and the company had looked to bring her back. They’ve officially done that, as WWE hammered out a new five-year deal with Bliss, as well as Paragon Talent’s Mojo and Steve Kaye. The deal was signed on Saturday, and Bliss was flown in to Indianapolis for the WWE Royal Rumble the same day. Prior, Shotzi was going to be in the Rumble.
The talent involved in the Royal Rumble match were not aware that Bliss would be in the Royal Rumble until she arrived Saturday. WWE had prepared merchandise for her eventual return a number of weeks ago as she’d started to be factored into plans.
Bliss had been under a long term deal previously, which had been extended due to absences. WWE sources claimed that Bliss and her reps wanted a new deal, while they wanted her to work on the deal she had previously as they’d paid her during her leave. However, even if a new deal wasn’t reached, there would have been time remaining on the previous contract.
Congratulations to Alexa Bliss on a new contract and a big return! We can look to see her on tonight’s WWE RAW on Netflix.
