UFC Saudi Arabia: Nassourdine Imavov Knocks Out Israel Adesanya In Round Two

What a night of shockers!

UFC Fight Night

UFC Fight Night: Saudi Arabia was headlined by Israel Adesanya vs. Nassourdine Imavov in the first non-title fight for Israel in over six years. Imavov on the other hand, was on a four fight win streak and looking to put a stamp on the former Middleweight Champion.

In round one, Israel looked good in his movement, and his grappling, not allowing Imavov to take him down. But, Imavov did have a big moment when he landed a clean uppercut on Israel that rocked him backwards. We then went into round two.

Early in the round, Israel was poked in the eye, which he briefly stopped for, but told the referee that he didn’t need any time. Then, about ten seconds lander, Nassourdine Imavov landed a bomb, which dropped Israel, allowing Imavov to pounce on him and finish the fight with some ground and pound follow-up strikes.

Nassourdine is now on a five fight win streak and has his eyes on the title, which is being defended next weekend between Dricus Du Plessis and Sean Strickland. Whoever wins, Imavov wants the next shot. After his performance, he surely deserves it.
