Royal Rumble Surprise?
Malakai Black, FKA Aleister Black, is still under contract with AEW. Despite it being very well known that Malakai is finishing up with the company, he’s technically not 100% free to go just yet. Many fans have expected Aleister Black to return to WWE, as he was a former NXT Champion and had a long run on the main roster.
But, if he’s planning for a WWE return, it’s not today. PWInsider had first reported that Malakai is not in Indianapolis for the Rumble and he is still under an AEW Contract.
We are getting a lot of questions today about Malakai/Aleister Black. There is zero chance he’s in the Royal Rumble. He’s not in Indianapolis and is still technically under contract to AEW. So, not happening.
