On January 25th, 2025 WWE aired the 38th edition of Saturday Night Main Event live in San Antonio Texas inside Frost Bank Center & can watch it on NBC & Peacock (United States) & YouTube (Everywhere Else)
Note: This review will be shorter then normal as it be the last few mins of the match.
Women’s World Title Match
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax
Rhea Ripley & Nia Jax get back inside the ring and Ripley sets up for Riptide but Jax counters into a crossbody.
She ascends up to the middle rope once again but Ripley pulls her off and connects with Riptide for the win.
Winner & Still Women’s World Champion: Rhea Ripley (9:22) (STILL CHAMPION!!!)

Intercontinental Title Match
Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus
Sheamus lands a Celtic Cross on Bron Breakker but Breakker sends Sheamus crashing into the mat and follows it up with a hurricanrana off the middle rope.
Sheamus connects with a Brogue Kick on Breakker and goes for a pin.
Breakker gets his foot on the bottom rope to break the hold.
Breakker then intercepts Sheamus with a spear for the win.
Winner & Still Intercontinental Champion: Bron Breakker (11:31) (STILL CHAMPION!!!)

-Shawn Michaels says his only job tonight is to oversee the contract proceedings then introduces Kevin Owens & Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Both men then make their way out to the ring.
-Michaels invites Rhodes & Owens to take a seat but neither man opts to. He says for months Rhodes and Owens have beaten each other but he needs them both to sign the contract one way or another. Rhodes then proceeds to sign the contract but Owens doesn’t right away and tells Rhodes that he said something last night that upset him: he always takes the easy way out. He says he cared about their friendship more than Rhodes ever did but Rhodes is the one who took the easy way out.
-Rhodes cuts Owens off and demands that he sign the contract. Owens says that he will shut everyone up who doubts him at Royal Rumble and says that he will take everything Rhodes that he got when he came back from his face being plastered everywhere to the fans attention. Michaels tells Owens that he sounds jealous and Owens becomes irate. He says that he thinks Michaels is jealous because he’s brought more pride to the Winged Eagle Title. He then signs the contract.
-Michaels calls for a referee to take the Undisputed WWE Title & the Winged Eagle Title. The referee does so and hangs it on an apparatus to suspend it above the ring. He says 1 man will walk out as Undisputed WWE Champion at Royal Rumble and wishes them both luck. Michaels offers his hand to Owens but Owens doesn’t shake it. Owens looks to strike Rhodes but Michaels inserts himself between them. Owens looks to land a Stunner on Michaels but Rhodes lands a kick on Owens to prevent him from connecting. Michaels then hits Sweet Chin Music to Owens.
Braun Strowman vs. Jacob Fatu
Jacob Fatu connects with 6 hip attacks on Braun Strowman and looks to land a 7th one.
The referee stops him but Fatu dumps him out of the ring and lands 2 more hip attacks on Strowman as the referee calls for the bell.
Winner By DQ: Braun Strowman (8:59)
Rate: 6
-After the match Fatu grabs a chair and dumps it inside the ring as security runs down to the ring to stop Fatu. Fatu tosses a couple of the guards aside but security gets him calmed down. Fatu breaks free and connects with 3 moonsaults on Strowman off the top rope.
World Heavyweight Title Match
Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso
Jey lands a hurricanrana on Gunther and follows it up with a spear then goes for a pin but Gunther kicks out.
Jey then lands a 2nd spear on Gunther and ascends to the top before he lands Uso Splash and goes for a pin but Gunther kicks out once again.
Gunther lands a pair of powerbombs on Jey for the win.
Winner & Still World Heavyweight Champion: Gunther (16:42) (STILL CHAMPION!!!)
