The 2025 WWE Royal Rumble will serve as the organization’s inaugural Premium Live Event (PLE). After relocating to the streaming media behemoth on January 1, 2025, the 38th annual event will be streamed live on Netflix Internationally and on Peacock in the United States.

One of the most anticipated yearly events on WWE’s pay-per-view calendar, the Rumble has been around since 1988. This event is considered a prelude to WrestleMania as it determines the outcomes of the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All.’

Thirty superstars make their entrances at regular intervals during the Royal Rumble bout. Wrestlers are out when their feet hit the floor after being sent over the top rope. The champion advances to WrestleMania 41’s main event and faces off against his chosen champion. Although the Royal Rumble for women didn’t happen until 2018, the men’s version has been going strong since the company’s inception.

Since anything might happen, this event is unlike any other, and the hype is real. The Royal Rumble is a career-defining event where wrestlers can make their comebacks or debuts. Traditionally, the live crowd gets into it, and they all start counting down the seconds until the next wrestler comes out, as fans highly anticipate surprise entrants and our favorite superstars.

Fortunately, there are never any dull moments during the Royal Rumble. Because of how unexpected it is, it is always a must-see event, and this year’s version should not disappoint. John Cena, who announced his retirement tour for 2025 last year, will be appearing in his last Royal Rumble event. That much is known at this moment. The Royal Rumble Betting Favorite: John Cena

One of the most revered and loathed superstars in WWE history is having a sad farewell this year.

Wrestlemania 41, scheduled for April 19–20 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, is widely believed by oddsmakers to be Cena’s last opportunity to fight for a championship. Cena has said that he plans to retire from professional wrestling by the end of 2025, and as the longtime superstar that he is, his probability of having one more title run makes sense.

Wrestling fans would be thrilled to see Cena add to his 16 world championship reigns, but he probably doesn’t need a strap on the line to make headlines in 2025, when he’s anticipated to perform 30 to 40 events.

I am not certain that WWE considers Cena’s last championship run an essential part of ending his in-ring employment, and I am definitely not going to invest in Cena’s stock at this price.

The Royal Rumble Betting Favorite (Women’s): Charlotte Flair

Will Flair actually pull a John Cena in 2008? If you don’t remember, after a three-month hiatus, Cena shocked everyone by entering the Royal Rumble at number thirty. It would be surprising if Flair didn’t win the Rumble battle and have a triumphant comeback similar to this, considering how long she’s been gone, and the in-ring prowess she owns.

I share the oddsmakers’ belief that it’s a real possibility and one that would certainly make the live crowd pop.
