Sunday night, TNA held their Genesis PPV – the first LIVE event of 2025 for the company. It emanated from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas – a venue that TNA has never used previously, but had been utilized by both All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor.
During the event, lead commentator Tom Hannifan announced prior to the TNA World Title Main Event match between Nic Nemeth and Joe Hendry that the event was SOLD OUT.
This continued TNAs streak of LIVE event sell outs at seven in a row, but also left a lot of the fans wondering what the number of tickets sold was with TNA going to bigger venues in 2025.
Yesterday, WrestleTix revealed their count of approximately 4,032 tickets sold.
On Monday, TNA official Tommy Dreamer revealed as a co-host on Busted Open Radio that they had sold about 4,500 tickets to the event.
When I reached out for confirmation on that number, Tommy corrected himself and said that the maximum capacity searching chart was actually 8,500 – not the 9,000 as he originally thought – and so the company set up half of the maximum venue capacity. This would set the SOLD OUT event at right around 4,250 tickets sold.
This is an incredible number for TNA and a great start to 2025 as they prepare for even bigger venues later in the year.
