Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio
Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio went one-on-one for the first time in 16 years tonight. This comes after Rey kicked New Day out of the locker room for kicking Big E out of the group. Now, with their new demeanor, everything is changed.
Kofi and Woods even refused to walk out to their New Day theme song, and had production cut it off completely for their entrance. Kofi was also rocking new gear, which was just jeans. They cut a promo on the way to the ring to a massive amount of boo’s, while Kofi said he’s getting sick and tired of everyone acting this way towards them. Even beforehand, they tried to get special guest commentator JBL on their side, and even he wouldn’t take up for them.
During the match, Kofi was on the hunt early, but Rey battled back and had Kofi reeling. Though, Xavier Woods got involved and was kicked out of ringside, but it helped Kofi get back in control. In the end, Rey rolled Kofi up and got the win! Xavier and Kofi beat down Rey after the match, but LWO made the save.
