Moments ago on the TNA Genesis PPV, Joe Hendry finally accomplished the goal he set out 12 years ago to complete – becoming a World Champion.
Joe defeated Nic Nemeth with a STANDING OVATION after a very hard fought match and people attempting to interfere in the match. Joe overcame all of that to capture the title.
Both men have been in each others crosshairs for literal months. At the TNA Bound For Glory PPV back in October, Joe got a shot at the TNA World Title against Nic, but Frankie Kazarian was the Guest Referee, so shenanigans were afoot.
Last night, the match went back and forth in what was a big match, but Frankie Kazarian made his way out with his CYS trophy, attempting to cash it in. JBL emerged from the crowd and clotheslined Frankie Kazarian before he could make it to the ring, and then nailed Ryan Nemeth on the way to the back as well.
Where does Joe Hendry go from here? Who will be the next one to step up and challenge Joe Hendry? We’ll have to tune into iMPACT this Thursday!
