TNA Genesis PPV Results – January 19, 2025
— Countdown to Genesis pre show —
McKenzie Mitchell returned to TNA tonight as the official new ring announcer.
Moments ago, NXT star Ashante “Thee” Adonis showed up in TNA and came out for the Countdown To Genesis pre show.
He laid out an open challenge to any TNA star, which was answered by Jake Something.
Jake Something hits Adonis with INTO THE VOID.
Winner: Jake Something
-Frankie Kazarian vs. Leon Slater
Leon Slater goes to the top rope and attempts the 450 Splash off the top rope with Frankie down in the middle of the ring. Frankie gets the knees up to block it and rolls Slater up for the victory.
Winner: Frankie Kazarian
After beating NXT star Ashante Adonis, Jake Something is fired up and says he’ll take on anybody from any company who wants to step up.

TNA X Division Title
–Moose (c) vs. Ace Austin
Moose arrived with his new X Division Title belt.
The rest of the System came out and helped dismantle Ace.
Moose hit a SPEAR for the victory.
Winner, and still X Division Champion: Moose
Post-match, The System all surround Ace. Suddenly, Eric Young and Steve Maclin come out and make the save for Ace. This leads into their match against Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers.
Tag Team Match
-The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards w/Alisha) vs. Renegades (Eric Young & Steve Maclin)
Eric Young gains some momentum and clears the ring.
Steve Maclin nails Brian Myers with KIA and secures the pinfall.
Winners: Steve Maclin & Eric Young
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles
-Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) (c) vs. Ash & Heather By Elegance
Both Ash and Heather work to neutralize Dani Luna.
Jody Threat comes in and takes out both Ash and Heather.
Threat and Luna nail Heather with the POWER DROP. Threat pins Heather.
Winners, and STILL TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions…Spitfire (Jody Threat & Dani Luna)
We get a backstage comment from Frankie Kazarian who says that Leon Slater is a great talent but not good enough to beat him. Kazarian
says he’s focused on the World Title match between Joe Hendry and Nic Nemeth tonight. Frankie teases cashing in his Call Your Shot trophy.
Knockouts Match
-Jordynne Grace vs. Tessa Blanchard
Tessa sends Jordynne Grace face-first into an exposed turnbuckle. Tessa immediately goes to the top rope and lands Grace with her MAGNUM finisher off the top rope. Tessa pins Grace.
Winner: Tessa Blanchard
I Quit Match
-Josh Alexander vs. Mike Santana
Santana dives through the ropes and takes out Josh on the outside.
Josh slams Santana’s leg into the ring post and then puts him into the figure four leg lock around the ring post. Santana won’t quit.
Josh Alexander showing shades of Eddie Guerrero with the Three Amigos Suplex sequence.
Josh sends Santana over his shoulder and through a table on the outside. Santana doesn’t quit.
Josh hits Santana with numerous chair shots. Santana doesn’t quit.
Mike Santana gets hit with a C4 SPIKE. Santana pops right back up.
Santana nails Josh with a Cannonball through the table from across the ring.
Santana nails Josh with a slapjack full of pool balls and hits Josh with it. Josh yells “you’ll never be the guy!”
Winner: Mike Santana
Post-match, Santana makes Josh follow through on his promise to shake his hand. Josh says he quit tonight, but he quits TNA too.
TNA Tag Team Titles
-The Hardy’s (c) vs. The Rascalz
NXT Tag Team Champions, Fraxiom, walk out with chairs and in hand and their title belts to watch this match.
Trey and Zachary Wentz took out Fraxiom on the outside.
Matt nails Trey Miguel with a Twist of Fate, followed by Jeff going to the top rope and hitting a SWANTON BOMB for the victory.
Winners, and STILL TNA Tag Team Champions…Matt & Jeff Hardy!
Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match
TNA Knockouts World Title
-Masha Slamovich (c) vs. Rosemary
Rosemary spits some green mist into the eyes of Masha Slamovich.
Masha nails Rosemary with a cross body to the outside and through a table.
Masha gets speared onto some tacos on the side entrance ramp.
Rosemary pulls out Janice – a two-by-four laced with nails.
Rosemary pushes over a ladder that Masha was climbing and sends Masha to the outside and through a table.
Masha nails Rosemary with a REQUIEM off the top rope into a group of chairs for the victory.
Winner, and still TNA Knockouts World Champion…Masha Slamovich.
Post-match, NXT star Cora Jade comes out and has a face-to-face stand-off with Masha Slamovich.
TNA World Title
Nemeth vs Hendry
Kazarian comes out from the back with his trophy. JBL comes out of the crowd and clotheslines Frankie. Ryan Nemeth runs down and also gets clotheslined. JBL disappeared back into the crowd.
Joe Hendry nails Nic Nemeth with a second STANDING OVATION for the victory.
Winner, and NEW TNA WORLD CHAMPION…Joe Hendry.
