Renato Moicano Steps In As Arman Tsarukyan Pulls Out Of UFC 311 Main Event
A new main event has emerged.
UFC 311 Main Event Change
Massive breaking news went down on the UFC 311 weigh-in show. Early reports came out that Arman Tsarukyan is out of his championship bout against UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev. Dana White then confirmed the report.
Dana made his presence known on the weigh-in show that Arman suffered a back injury yesterday and is not healthy enough to fight on Saturday night. Now, Renato Moicano will step up to fight Islam for the title in the main event. Renato did make championship weight, as he was set to face Beneil Dariush anyway.
Beneil will be taken off the card now, but Dana says he will “take care” of him. With that fight removed and Moicano bumped up to the main event, Serghei Spivac vs. Jailton Almeida now moves from the prelims to the main card.
All other fights are still on as of now. UFC 311, Islam Makhachev vs. Renato Moicano is official!
