Earlier today, TNA Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to reveal that Sirius XM’s Busted Open Radio will be hosting/sponsoring the Countdown To Genesis pre show.
The pre show begins at 7pm Eastern time, which means it will go for an hour before the Genesis PPV starts. The only match announced for the pre show so far is Leon Slater taking on Frankie Kazarian.
A few weeks ago, Frankie Kazarian was backstage with his Call Your Shot trophy talking about the TNA World Title match at Genesis between Joe Hendry and Nic Nemeth at Genesis. Frankie says he’ll be watching and might decide to cash in his trophy for a title shot.
Frankie sees Leon walking around and says that he can help Leon get to the next level, but he already has the IT factor. Frankie tells Leon he can start by carrying around his trophy for him.
Leon says he’s not about that, and won’t be an errand boy; Leon wants to create his own legacy and walks away.
Tonight, Frankie came out and sat at the commentary booth with Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt for the Leon Slater and Trent Seven match.
After the match was over and Leon was standing victorious, Trent Seven gave Leon praise. Frankie Kazarian got into the ring and tried to sneak up behind Slater, but Leon turned around just before Frankie could attack him. Frankie played it off that he wasn’t going to touch him.
Leon will be able to get his hands on Frankie this Sunday in a match that should set the tone for the rest of the night.
