Brian Myers Talks Camaraderie In TNA Locker Room, Possible New TV Deal
Brian Myers has been with TNA Wrestling for four years now, and recently signed an extension that will keep him with the company for a bit longer, according to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp. Myers was instrumental in securing the action figure deal between TNA Wrestling and PowerTown.
Myers undoubtedly helped the company navigate their action figure deal, which was revealed to be with PowerTown Wrestling.
Myers is a former TNA (IMPACT) Digital Media Champion, and most recently teamed with Eddie Edwards to go after the TNA Tag Team Titles.
Both men are members of The System and scheduled to compete against Eric Young and Steve Maclin at the Genesis PPV this Sunday. Myers and Edwards are both former two-time TNA Tag Team Champions.
Speaking on Refin’ It Up, Brian Myers was asked about the TNA locker room and the way other talent had spoken highly of the camaraderie.
“The term family gets thrown around in wrestling a little too much, I think. I heard it for years, but it never really rang true or felt true. This is real. I don’t need to say a particular name, but you can have your guesses, but I’m pretty sure a talent is leaving this weekend. There’s gonna be some sad, wet eyes, some tears. It’s a big deal. Then you see when people do leave, they’re crying because they know what they’re walking away from. They might be getting a bigger paycheck, but certainly the feeling that they get of the camaraderie is almost irreplaceable. I’ve been wrestling [for 21 years], and this has been the most fun. It’s a treat to go to work sometimes, work with my friends, work with people that I love and appreciate. Nothing comes easy to TNA. We fight for everything, every little pat on the back, we gotta fight for, so I appreciate it,” Myers said

When asked about getting a better television deal, Myers was quick to respond:
“That, I think, is the plan. Without knowing, I think that would be the ultimate goal. I’ve been part of TNA for over four years now, and the roster is so hard-working and so passionate, and I think the show is so different than the other big two companies per se that you might see on television. I think it offers something really different for a real wrestling fan. So that’s what I hope for, more eyes on the product,” he said.
Asked if a better TV deal would take TNA to the next level, Myers replied, “I 100% believe that. I think, whether it’s a streaming service or a cable channel that is in more homes, that’s the missing piece. Because the talent’s there, the passion’s there, the roster’s there. Even the shit Eric Tompkins does behind the scenes, making us all look cooler than we really are with the packages and the vignettes, it’s all there. It’s just a matter of eyeballs, and I think that’s the move.”

Speaking of a better TV deal, TNA star Matt Hardy has repeatedly stated that Anthem/TNA is “actively working on that.”
In June, Anthem Sports – the parent company of TNA Wrestling – hired former WWE executive Rob Kligman as their Chief Revenue Officer. Kligman quickly made his intentions known, stating that they want to maximize distribution for TNA across both broadcast and streaming platforms.
Back in December, Anthem also hired Carlos Silva to oversee Anthem Sports Group – which includes TNA Wrestling, Invicta FC, and Fight Network – who stated that his near-team focus is to find the best distribution available and sponsorships.
Recently, Tommy Dreamer spoke about the ambitious goals of TNA in 2025, which includes “a larger television platform.”
Whether a new television deal happens in 2025 remains to be seen, but TNA has also been licensing out their replay rights to regional networks in multiple areas.
So far, 2025 is off to a great start. Within the last two weeks of, TNA confirmed the Bodyslam report that they would be partnering with Sportsnet in Canada for an exclusive, multi-year deal to air their weekly TNA iMPACT programming on their Sportsnet 360 channel.
