Saturday Night’s Main Event
WWE Saturday night’s main event is set for January 25 from San Antonio, Texas. This will be the second Saturday night’s main event since the return the program un December. As of now, we know that Gunther will defend his WWE world heavyweight championship against Jey Uso and that’s the only match officially announced thus far.
Now, according to WrestleVotes on their backstage pass podcast, WWE plans to have Shawn Michaels be a part of the show in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas. Of course he won’t wrestle for the event, but will likely just make an appearance and possibly a backstage or in-ring segment. Shawn has been seen often on screen down in NXT, as he is a part of that program and helps book the shows.
It’s rare nowadays to see Shawn Michael’s up on the main roster but what will we have in store for his hometown crowd? We’ll see on January 25.
