Go Home Show To Genesis -TNA iMPACT Results – January 16, 2025

Kazarian is on commentary for the first match.

-Leon Slater vs Trent Seven

Leon Slater defeated Trent Seven with a 450 splash.  

Winner: Leon Slater

While Leon has his back turned, Frankie gets into the ring. Leon turns around and Frankie backs off.

We see a video package hyping Joe Hendry ahead of his World Title Match this Sunday at Genesis.

-Ash & Heather By Elegance pre-launch Knockouts Tag Team Title celebration.

Personal Concierge George Iceman comes out and introduces Ash & Heather.

Iceman unveils two card board cut outs of each woman, donned with the TNA Knockout Tag Team Title. The crowd heavily boos Ash as she thanks her makeup team and everybody who helps her look that good.

Iceman lets Heather thank some people as well, including Ash and the Elegance brand.

Heather is interrupted by the actual Knockouts Tag Team Champions, Dani Luna and Jody Threat. Ash and Heather attempt to fight with Dani and Jody, but get thrown out of the ring. Jody and Dani smash the cardboard cut outs of Ash and Heather.

Gia Miller stands backstage with PCO and Sami Callihan. She asks what their strategy is going into their match. PCO spews some gibberish. Sami Callihan says that they will go at it with one of the best tag teams in history – The Hardy’s. Sami says there will be chaos and unpredictability, and that the two of them will go to Genesis after winning tonight. PCO spews some more gibberish.

-Eric Young & Steve Maclin vs FIR$T CLA$$ (AJ Francis & KC Navarro)

Eric Young nailed KC Navarro with an Elbow Drop off the top rope for the victory.

Winners: Eric Young & Steve Maclin

Post-match, Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards w/Alisha walk out to the top of the ramp. They stare down Maclin and Young.

-Masha Slamovich & Rosemary in a “confessional” segment.

Rosemary says it’s been seven years since she’s been the Knockouts World Champion.
Rosemary says she’s one of the most violent Knockouts in TNA history.
Masha says she’s either going to touch the sky, or she’ll take Rosemary to hell with her.

We get some footage from a Prestige Wrestling show last weekend that shows Judas Icarus and Travis Williams attacking Mike Santana after his match.

Josh comes out with the Northern Armory and said that Santana was hurt badly this last weekend and cannot compete this weekend at Genesis. Mike Santanas music hits and he comes out through the crowd.

Santana says he’s there to go through them because he won’t quit. He says he went through the whole System by himself, and then through The Northern Amrory all by himself as well.

Santana challenges Josh to make their match at Genesis an I QUIT MATCH.

Josh says if he loses he’ll shake Santana’s hand, but that won’t happen. Josh says he’s going to prove to Santana that his place is at the bottom of the card / not the top. Santana laughs because he got Josh flustered.

–Laredo Kid vs Jake Something

Jake Something def. Laredo Kid with a Powerbomb off the top rope – a SOMETHING BOMB.

Winner: Jake Something

We gets a video package for Ace Austin ahead of his X Division Title match against Moose at the Genesis PPV this Sunday.

Ace talks about his journey as a singles wrestler and the coming together with Chris Bey to form a great tag team. Ace says that he and Chris came together with the common goal of putting their own individual goals aside to work together and in doing so they became like brothers. Ace talks about Bey’s injury back in October and how both of their lives have been in a whirlwind since then. Ace says he’s getting back to his roots and is going back for the X Division Title, which is what this company is known for.

If Sami & PCO win, they’ll be added to the Tag Team Title Match at Genesis

-The Hardys vs. Sami Callihan & PCO

The Hardys def. Sami Callihan & PCO after Jeff Hardy hits a Swanton Bomb to Sami Callihan. Jeff covers for the pinfall.

Winners: Matt & Jeff Hardy

PCO seems to be hurt during the match and is escorted from the ring.

While Tom Hannifan and Matt Rhewoldt are running down the card for Genesis on Sunday, Jordynne Grace comes out to the announce table. She has the contract for her match with Tessa Blanchard with her and signs it. She leaves it there for Tessa to do the same.

-Joe Hendry & Nic Nemeth go face to face

Joe Hendry makes his way out first, followed by the TNA World Champion, Nic Nemeth.

Hendry grabs a microphone and starts talking first. He says that he HAS to win the title at Genesis, and there is going to be the start of a new era.

Nemeth says that he knows what the TNA World Title means to Joe Hendry, and that he knows what it means to carry that title and what it means to everybody who came before him. Nic says he lives every day as the champion knowing that everybody is coming for him and that he doesn’t sleep some nights knowing that he has a target on his back.

Nic says that everything has been said, but he wants to make one thing clear –

Nic has the production truck play the video from Bound For Glory where JBL lays out both Joe Hendry and Ryan Nemeth with a clothesline.Nic says that JBL acted on his own and all he saw from being down on the outside was JBL taking his brother’s head off.

Joe says that there’s something that makes no sense to him – Joe is cut off by Ryan Nemeth. Ryan says that Joe Hendry is trying to get into Nic’s head and that he doesn’t really care about the fans or anything else besides the title.

Joe says he’s got one more thing to say to Ryan, to which Ryan says he can say it to his face. Ryan comes into the ring and Joe lifts him up for a STANDING OVATION, but Nic lays Joe out.

Back at the commentary table, Tessa walks up and signs the contract. Suddenly, Jordynne Grace attacks her from behind. Both women fight to the ring and get in. Grace lays out Tessa with a JUGGERNAUT DRIVER and stands tall to end the show.
