Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone Re-Enters Testing Pool, Wants Two More Fights

The Cowboy is back?

Donald Cerrone Returns

UFC veteran Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone has been retired since July 2022 when he suffered his sixth loss in a row to fellow vet Jim Miller. Now, he’s looking to make a comeback and has re-entered the testing pool. Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD), the UFC’s anti-doping agency, confirmed that Cowboy is back in the testing pool in hopes of an octagon return. Donald also reiterated it himself on The Pacman Jones Show.

I just re-entered the testing pool so I have to be six months clean, Probably June or July we’ll make the comeback. I’m coming back for two more. Just two more. I want 50 fights [under the] UFC [umbrella].

I promised the wife no matter what happens, no matter the outcome, two more and that’s it.

When speaking about what weight he would fight at, Cerrone surprisingly said “I think it’ll be [at middleweight]”. Cerrone has only fought 155lbs and 170lbs, but never 185. Fans side-eyed this reveal, as Cowboy has openly admitted to taking steroids while out in retirement.

Dana White previously said he hated the idea of Cowboy coming back, despite loving him as a person.
