Bischoff Back in the Saddle for MLW One-Shot: “It’s Just Fun!”
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff is set to make a special appearance at MLW One-Shot, and he’s opening up about what excites him most about this return to the wrestling world.
Speaking on the Under the Ring podcast, Bischoff, who has worn many hats in the industry, including WCW President and WWE Raw General Manager, revealed his enthusiasm for this project.
“Any time I get an opportunity to go out in front of a live crowd and perform, it’s just fun, and I do miss it,” Bischoff admitted.
While he’s not taking on a permanent role with MLW, Bischoff is eager to contribute to the show’s success. “I’m coming in to be a part of something and to perhaps leave my fingerprints on it in a way that people will recognize,” he explained.
Bischoff’s influence will be felt beyond just his on-screen presence. He’s particularly interested in working with MLW’s talent and helping them elevate their performances, especially when it comes to promos and backstage segments.
“I’m interested in working with some of the talent and perhaps trying to get a little bit more out of them than perhaps they’re used to,” Bischoff shared. “Doing in-ring promos and backstage things just a little differently. Threading stories throughout the entire show I think is really important to a wrestling format, and I had a little bit of a hand in that for this episode coming up Thursday.”
Known for his creative vision and knack for storytelling during his WCW days, Bischoff’s involvement suggests a focus on enhancing the overall narrative and presentation of MLW One-Shot.
This isn’t Bischoff’s first foray outside of WWE in recent years. He’s made appearances for AEW and IMPACT Wrestling, proving his continued passion for the business. His insights and experience are sure to add a unique dimension to the MLW event.
MLW One-Shot is shaping up to be a must-see show for wrestling fans, thanks in part to the contributions of Eric Bischoff. Tune in to see how his influence impacts the event and its rising stars.
